Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 255 × 255 cm. That is roughly 6.5 m² of floor, about 8.4' × 8.4'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.
Format and use
The rug is round. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as Weiß / beige. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
Period
Stated condition: new.
