About this rug
A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 255 × 345 cm. That is roughly 8.8 m² of floor, about 8.4' × 11.3'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
Age
Stated condition: new.
