Overview
A Tabriz from India, measuring 163 × 248 cm. It covers approximately 4.04 m², or 5.3' × 8.1'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
