About this rug
This Tabriz comes from India and measures 167 × 272 cm. It covers approximately 4.54 m², or 5.5' × 8.9'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.

The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
On the colourway
It is catalogued under Weiß / beige. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
