The piece in short
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 76 × 300 cm. It covers approximately 2.28 m², or 2.5' × 9.8'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 12-15mm.

The format suits the space in front of a sofa, a small dining table, or a study.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
Colour and appearance
It is catalogued under blue / Türkis. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
