About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Moud of 78 × 390 cm. The covered area is about 3.04 m² (2.6' × 12.8'). Moud rugs are known for their fine Herati pattern.
Materials and construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.

A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
Colour and appearance
It is catalogued under Weiß / beige. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
