Overview
Hand-knotted in China: a Tabriz of 121 × 181 cm. That is roughly 2.19 m² of floor, about 4' × 5.9'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. The format suits the space in front of a sofa, a small dining table, or a study.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
How it reads
