This Tabriz comes from India and measures 125 × 185 cm. The covered area is about 2.31 m² (4.1' × 6.1'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction

It is catalogued under red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
