About this rug
Hand-woven in Afghanistan: a Kilim of 256 × 347 cm. That is roughly 8.88 m² of floor, about 8.4' × 11.4'.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. Construction method: hand-woven. Pile height is given as 5mm.
Format and use
A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
Flatweave
Because it is woven rather than knotted, the structure is flat and usable on both sides.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
