A Shiraz from Iran, measuring 161 × 237 cm. That is roughly 3.82 m² of floor, about 5.3' × 7.8'. Shiraz rugs come from a nomadic weaving tradition.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
Colour and appearance
