Overview
A Kilim from Iran, measuring 192 × 276 cm. It covers approximately 5.3 m², or 6.3' × 9.1'.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-woven. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
How it is made
Because it is woven rather than knotted, the structure is flat and usable on both sides.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as multicolour. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
