About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 200 × 296 cm. The covered area is about 5.92 m² (6.6' × 9.7'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp.
Size and placement
The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
How it reads
It is catalogued under red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
