About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 153 × 204 cm. That is roughly 3.12 m² of floor, about 5' × 6.7'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
Colour and appearance
The stated colourway is blue / Türkis. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
