A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 152 × 207 cm. That is roughly 3.15 m² of floor, about 5' × 6.8'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.
