Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 204 × 321 cm. That is roughly 6.55 m² of floor, about 6.7' × 10.5'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
