At a glance
This Nain comes from Iran. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Construction
Stated material: 100% wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
The stated colourway is red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
