Origin India, format 166 × 257 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 4.27 m² (5.4' × 8.4'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.

Knot density and quality

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.

On the colourway

Colour is recorded as Weiß / beige. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
