Overview
Hand-knotted in India: a Tabriz of 205 × 250 cm. It covers approximately 5.13 m², or 6.7' × 8.2'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
How it reads
The stated colourway is red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
