Overview
Hand-knotted in India: a Tabriz of 200 × 307 cm. That is roughly 6.14 m² of floor, about 6.6' × 10.1'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp. Construction method: hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.
Size and placement
The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
Age and condition
Stated condition: new.
