A Tabriz from India, measuring 198 × 314 cm. That is roughly 6.22 m² of floor, about 6.5' × 10.3'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
