Overview
Hand-knotted in India: a Tabriz of 85 × 310 cm. The covered area is about 2.64 m² (2.8' × 10.2'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.
Format and use
A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
The stated colourway is red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
