Overview
Origin Pakistan, format 132 × 208 cm — a Isfahan made entirely by hand. That is roughly 2.75 m² of floor, about 4.3' × 6.8'. Isfahan has stood for exceptionally fine knotting for centuries.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. The format suits the space in front of a sofa, a small dining table, or a study.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
Colour and appearance
It is catalogued under red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
Age and condition
Stated condition: new.
