Construction: Handgesponnene Wolle in the pile over a cotton foundation. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Weight is given as ap. 4 kg.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. Small enough to sit in front of a dresser or just inside a door.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as Weiß / beige. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
Condition
Stated age: contemporary, 0–20 years old. As a contemporary piece the pile is still even and largely unwalked.
