Overview
Origin Iran, format 250 × 350 cm — a Farahan, Sarouk made entirely by hand. It covers approximately 8.75 m², or 8.2' × 11.5'. Sarouk rugs are known for dense knotting and floral motifs.
What it is made of
Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Size and placement
At this size the rug defines the room rather than accenting it.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
