Construction
The pile is wool, on a warp of cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Weight is given as ap. 16 kg.

The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
Colour and appearance
It is catalogued under red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
