At a glance
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Gabbeh of 180 × 240 cm. That is roughly 4.32 m² of floor, about 5.9' × 7.9'. Gabbeh rugs favour simple, open designs and a thick pile.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
Large enough to hold a full seating group.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
On the colourway
It is catalogued under black and grey. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
