What it is made of
Construction: wool in the pile over a cotton foundation. Construction method: hand-knotted. Weight is given as approx. 2 kg.
Size and placement
The rug is rectangular. Small enough to sit in front of a dresser or just inside a door.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
Colour and appearance
The stated colourway is blue / Türkis. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
Age
Stated age: antique. In a rug of this age, patina and some pile loss belong to the picture.
