Overview
This Heriz comes from Iran and measures 255 × 322 cm. That is roughly 8.21 m² of floor, about 8.4' × 10.6'. Heriz rugs usually carry a bold, angular central medallion.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Size and placement
A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
On the colourway
It is catalogued under red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
