About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Heriz of 304 × 400 cm. The covered area is about 12.16 m² (10' × 13.1'). Heriz rugs usually carry a bold, angular central medallion.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. At this size the rug defines the room rather than accenting it.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is under 200,000 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
On the colourway
The stated colourway is red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
