About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Heriz of 153 × 196 cm. The covered area is about 3 m² (5' × 6.4'). Heriz rugs usually carry a bold, angular central medallion.
Materials and construction
Pile material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
On the colourway
It is catalogued under red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
