Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Isfahan of 106 × 155 cm. The covered area is about 1.64 m² (3.5' × 5.1'). Isfahan has stood for exceptionally fine knotting for centuries.
Construction
Pile material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% silk. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Where it fits
A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 600,000–699,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
How it reads
The stated colourway is red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
