Overview
A Isfahan from Iran, measuring 250 × 350 cm. That is roughly 8.75 m² of floor, about 8.2' × 11.5'. Isfahan has stood for exceptionally fine knotting for centuries.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% Schurwolle mit Seide, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Size and placement
The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
Colour and appearance
It is catalogued under Weiß / beige. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
