Origin Iran, format 300 × 414 cm — a Isfahan made entirely by hand. That is roughly 12.42 m² of floor, about 9.8' × 13.6'. Isfahan has stood for exceptionally fine knotting for centuries.

Construction

The pile is 100% Schurwolle mit Seide, on a warp of 100% silk. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.

Format and use

The rug is rectangular. A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.

Fineness of the knotting

The stated knot density is 800,000–899,999 knots/m². A knot count at this level belongs to the upper quality class of handmade rugs.

How it reads

Colour is recorded as black and grey, Weiß / beige. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
