Around 3.6 million knots went into this piece (500,000-599,999 knots/sqm) — a knot count in the range that balances detail against durability. Pile 100% silk & warp 100% cotton. Silk both in the pile and through the foundation, so the whole rug catches light rather than only the pattern. The cotton foundation holds it flat and dimensionally stable.
