The stated density is 500,000-599,999 knots/sqm; over 5.21 m² that is roughly 2.9 million knots, a solid workshop density. Pile 100% silk, warp 100% cotton. Silk both in the pile and through the foundation, so the whole rug catches light rather than only the pattern. The cotton foundation holds it flat and dimensionally stable. 5.21 m² suits a study or a foot-of-bed position. Proportion 1.51:1. This is the only example of this rug; when it is gone the size and drawing do not repeat.
