Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Kerman of 320 × 425 cm. That is roughly 13.6 m² of floor, about 10.5' × 13.9'. Kerman is associated with soft colour transitions and floral compositions.
Construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². A knot count at this level belongs to the upper quality class of handmade rugs.
How it reads
The stated colourway is red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
Age and condition
Stated condition: ca. 100 Jahre.
