About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Mashhad of 386 × 298 cm. The covered area is about 11.5 m² (12.7' × 9.8').
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 10 mm.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. At this size the rug defines the room rather than accenting it.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
Period
Stated condition: 2000 bis jetzt.
