Overview
A Moud from Iran, measuring 313 × 410 cm. That is roughly 12.83 m² of floor, about 10.3' × 13.5'. Moud rugs are known for their fine Herati pattern.
Materials and construction
Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Where it fits
A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
