Overview
A Moud from Iran, measuring 67 × 92 cm. That is roughly 0.62 m² of floor, about 2.2' × 3'. Moud rugs are known for their fine Herati pattern.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Size and placement
At this size it works as an entryway mat or a bedside rug.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
Colour and appearance
The stated colourway is multicolour. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
