About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 111 × 200 cm. That is roughly 2.22 m² of floor, about 3.6' × 6.6'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
What it is made of
Pile material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Where it fits
A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
