The piece in short
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 60 × 40 cm. It covers approximately 0.24 m², or 2' × 1.3'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 8 mm.

The rug is rectangular. At this size it works as an entryway mat or a bedside rug.

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
It is catalogued under Weiß / beige. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
