The piece in short

Origin Iran, format 108 × 198 cm — a Nain made entirely by hand. That is roughly 2.14 m² of floor, about 3.5' × 6.5'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.

Construction

Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.

A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.

On the knot count

The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.

On the colourway

The stated colourway is red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
