About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 130 × 204 cm. That is roughly 2.65 m² of floor, about 4.3' × 6.7'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
What it is made of
Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Size and placement
The format suits the space in front of a sofa, a small dining table, or a study.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 900,000–999,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
