About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 140 × 214 cm. It covers approximately 3 m², or 4.6' × 7'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
Pile material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Size and placement
A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as blue / Türkis. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
