Overview
A Nain from Iran, measuring 194 × 294 cm. It covers approximately 5.7 m², or 6.4' × 9.6'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as blue / Türkis. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
