Tak Gardeh

Tak Gardeh means a single medallion: one central form, no corner pieces, the field left to carry the floral drawing around it. It is a quieter composition than the full lachak toranj, and a harder one, because there are no corner medallions to absorb the eye – the balance of the field has to hold on its own.

72.1 Raj

This is at the fine end even for Qom. Nearly 2.9 million knots across 2.77 square metres is more than a million knots per square metre, which is what makes the Golfarang roses possible at this scale: petals a few centimetres across still have enough knots to shade rather than step.

Placement and care

A hall or study size. Keep silk away from prolonged direct sunlight, vacuum without a beater bar, and rotate it periodically.
