Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 290 × 80 cm. The covered area is about 2.32 m² (9.5' × 2.6'). Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 8 mm.
Size and placement
The format suits the space in front of a sofa, a small dining table, or a study.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
On the colourway
The stated colourway is Weiß / beige. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
Age
Stated condition: new.
