The pile is silk, on a warp of silk. It is entirely hand-knotted. Weight is given as approx. 5 kg.

The rug is rectangular. Small enough to sit in front of a dresser or just inside a door.

The stated knot density is 600,000–699,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
