A Qom from Iran, measuring 50 × 50 cm. The covered area is about 0.25 m² (1.6' × 1.6'). Qom is known for very finely knotted rugs, often in silk.

Pile material is given as wool, silk, warp as cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted. Weight is given as ap. 2 kg.

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.

The stated colourway is multicolour. Silk takes light differently from wool, so the same area can look pale from one side and deep from the other.
