Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Shiraz of 209 × 304 cm. It covers approximately 6.35 m², or 6.9' × 10'. Shiraz rugs come from a nomadic weaving tradition.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
